Graphic Designer

Overview

Varitage is looking to hire a Graphic Designer to work on design and development of creative work on all client accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design across multiple mediums for client projects
  • Collaborate with Executive Management, Senior Creative staff, Client Services, Copy and Traffic teams to deliver engaging, creative, brand-building concepts and materials, for both existing and potential clients
  • Working with all agency departments to manage work flow; assigning, prioritizing and reprioritizing work to ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Develop conceptual ideas both individually and with teams
  • Prepare detailed layouts and storyboards based on project specifications
  • Work with in-house art department as well as outside suppliers for completion of materials, comps and mechanicals
  • Acquire knowledge of product and category

Essentials

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in a Graphic Arts program or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate a diverse graphic, typographic style
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Design and Writing partners to produce compelling and creative marketing concepts
  • Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • A well-organized, self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong presentation skills with an ability to participate in discussions with all levels of management
  • In-depth understanding of page layout, typography and professional design aesthetics
  • A demonstrated mastery of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator CS3 software. Flash and web design experience a plus. PC and Mac trained considered (PC preferred)

Copywriter/Editor

Overview

Varitage is looking to hire a part-time copywriter/editor to work on client content and ensure editorial standards on all client accounts. The agency’s primary client base is medical, but consumer advertising opportunities will also be targeted.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field is required
  • Masters degree in a related field is a plus
  • 3+ years related experience in a commercial or medical field is a plus (Please list any therapeutic focuses in your resume)

Responsibilities of Editor

  • Edit, proofread and fact check content
  • Evaluate and revise content written by other team members
  • Help finalize content for clients
  • Perform editorial tasks with accuracy while adhering to tight timelines
  • Establish and manage all editorial timelines
  • Ensure that all editorial standards are executed by both writers and editors
  • Perform final edit and fact check on all materials
  • Manage all referenced materials
  • Continuously enhance existing processes and overall development
  • Strong communication skills
  • Initiative, willingness to learn quickly
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Highly organized and effective approach

Responsibilities of Copywriter

  • Write sales aids, brochures, posters, slide kits, sales training documents, and other promotional materials
  • Work with executive management, creative director, client services, editors and graphic designers to create final product
  • Help develop names and slogans for products, companies, and programs
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Make revisions and edits as needed
  • Self–edit and fact check content
  • Managed all referenced materials
